1. User Based Conduct
1. a. General
Users must not have any profanity or racial material in their usernames. This too, applies for user profiles. Your profile website must not link to any website containing profanity, racial material, nudity or extreme violence.
Remember, at all times, there are kids on these forums.
Absolutely no account trading under any circumstances. We will NOT be held accountable for your loss if you're scammed.
1. b. Avatar
Keep your avatar clean. Avatars with profanity, racial material, nudity or extreme violence will not be tolerated. Your avatar will be removed immediately if it does contain such material.
1. c. Signature
* Signatures should be no more than 350px long. People come here to read conversations, not the spam inside your signature
* As with avatars, signatures with any profanity, racial material, nudity or extreme violence will not be tolerated.
* Links to any sites containing adult content, software piracy, or racially offensive materials will not be tolerated.
* Affiliate and referral links are not allowed. Some examples: Neobux, PrizeRebel, etc...(Under revision)
2. Shoutbox Conduct
1. a. General Shout Content
* Do not under any circumstance use the shoutbox for posting large images.
* Don't troll; you will be banned.
* Any text or images used to offend somebody will not be tolerated.
* Racial comments used offensively will also give you grounds for a ban.
* This is an English community and we like being able to understand each other. Posts in foreign languages are not permitted and it is advisable you use an online translator.
* Excessive use of emotes as well as spam will not be tolerated.
* Going crazy with the colors in the shoutbox will result in the privilege of using colors being taken away. We like being able to see what you type, and impairing the visibility of the typed text isn't right, and there may be consequences.
3. Forum Conduct (Posting)
2. a. General Post Content
i. Topic Creation
* Topics should only be created if there are no prior topics addressing the same content.
* There is a fully functional search button located near the UCP, and users failing to utilize it will have their topics locked or deleted.
* Do not have topics named colloquially. Address whatever your topic is about in the subject. Don't just have 'Hey Guys..', 'Do you think..'.
* We're all over topics consisting of users whining about hacking, and there is a thread dedicated to ranting, here.
* Ensure your new topic has substantial content - A topic will rarely be valuable if it consists of a line. Pointless topics will be deleted.
* Look here for rules concerning recruitment topics.
ii. Polls
Polls, in general, should not be created without some purpose. If a poll isn't going to achieve anything for anybody, it will moat likely be removed.
* "What is the best weapon for __?" polls are more effective than "Which one is good?"
* Don't create polls if you have addressed the question in your post. In other words, if people are going to reply and give you the same answer they would a poll, don't create one. If you ask people to state why they chose an option in your poll, that is fine.
iii. Spam
* Spamming is not condonable and should not be done under any circumstances.
* Random posts that are off-topic are considered to be spam, as well as posts lacking in content.
* Posts consisting of 'lol/rofl/lmao/ok' will be deleted and you will receive an informal warning.
* Posts replying to spam will be considered spam.
* There is a section within the forum for spamming and should be kept there, only.
iv. Topic Bumping
* General discussion topics, however, cannot be bumped for at least 10 days, given nobody has replied.
* Ensure you check a previous posts' date before you post in any topic that is not under "Active Topics". Topics that have been bumped more than 10 days later will be considered spam-bumping, or resurrecting. You will be warned upon multiple offenses.(Under revision)
v. When Quoting
There is nothing more annoying than scrolling through quotations that are not cut.
* When quoting images, cut the first image tag, like so: [/img]imageurl[/img]
* When quoting texts, if you're quoting a particular phrase do not quote their entire post. Delete the content before and after what you're trying to quote.
vi. Language
* There is a swear filter on these forums, and swearing is permitted. However, using profanity against somebody is not tolerated. It is only condonable in colloquial speech.
* In terms of foreign language, this is an English community and we like being able to understand each other. Posts in foreign languages are not permitted and it is advisable you use an online translator.
vii. Flaming
* Don't troll; you will be banned.
* Any text or images used to offend somebody will not be tolerated.
* Racial comments used offensively will also give you grounds for a ban.
viii. Staff Position Begging
* You are chosen to be staff not the other way around.
2. b. Websites
* Any links to websites containing adult content, software piracy content, racial or explicit material will not be tolerated. You will be instantly warned or possibly banned, no questions asked.
* Don't advertise other websites not related to these forums.
* Again, affiliate and referral links are not allowed.
2. c. Images
* Images offending the terms mentioned - that is - having adult content, containing profanity, extreme violence or anything of an explicit nature will be removed and you will be punished for it, depending upon what it is.
* You should resize your images to be no larger than approximately 600x600 pixels. It is negotiable, but your picture maybe be removed if it isn't required to be larger.
3. When You Encounter Spam or other Misconduct.
3. a. By Users
Do not reply to any breaches of the rules above. This includes, but is not limited to, spamming, flaming, inappropriate content or a topic posted in the wrong section. If you see something wrong, there is a button located down the bottom right of each post. Simply file a report, and somebody will get to it as soon as possible. Any replies to misconduct will be treated as spam.
If you feel a topic or post is in need of immediate attention report it and PM multiple members of staff. This is only condonable for something serious, such as pornographic image spam.
3. b. By Moderators
If you ever have any issues concerning a moderators actions, you should contact the administrators.
4. Tips.
* Use a spell checker to check your posts for misspellings. If you use Firefox, there are many add-ons that supply this feature.
* Make sure you read stickies and announcements, they contain useful information and can answer many questions.
* Utilize the search feature. What you're looking for isn't always an active topic.
* If you don't know what section to post a topic in, look for topics of the same genre. If you're still having trouble with this, PM a member of staff and we will be happy to help you.
* Don't post entirely in caps or using stupid abbreviations. If you want to be treated like an intelligent person, act like one.
